This website is run by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council using external software produced by Tribepad. This statement applies to all candidate processes used to register and apply for a job.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • 3.2.4 Consistent Identification, Level AA ‘Consistent Identification’ requires components with the same function to be used consistently. On the login page, the tabbed content may not be recognizable as tabs but as links to another page. We are currently looking to redesign this content. 
  • 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions: Level A ‘Labels or Instructions’ requires forms and controls to provide labels or instructions for user input’. The option to use 'magic links’ to login’ does not provide enough guidance and a poor user experience. We are aiming to fix this by Dec 2024.
  • 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)—Level ‘A— "Link Purpose (In Context)’ requires that every link’s purpose is clear from its text or context’. Some icon buttons may be missing readable text on dashboard widgets. We are aiming to fix this by Dec 2024.
  • 2.4.6 Headings and Labels—Level AA— "Headings and labels describe topic or purpose’. Selecting an interview using assistive technology may be confusing due to the current heading structure of the page. We have a redesign of this in place, hoping to be released by Dec 2024. Some pages may have broken or missing labels on the candidate application journey. This will be fixed by December 2024.
  • 1.4.4 Resize Text, Level AA: ‘Users can resize text to 200% without loss of content or function’. Some content on our application summary may appear disjointed when zoomed in above 200%. We are aiming to fix this by December 2024.
